Why Healthy Feet Matter (and What You Can Do About It)
by Jessica Seabern
Our feet are the foundation of everything we do. Whether you're walking, simply standing, hiking, or even dancing, your feet and ankles carry the weight of your body and connect you to the earth. Yet, they’re often the most overlooked part of our bodies—until something goes wrong.
Healthy feet mean better balance, stronger posture, more ease in movement, and less strain on the knees, hips, and back. And it’s not just about avoiding injury—it’s about thriving in your everyday life.
I have often experienced one of the most common foot issues, plantar fasciitis —a painful inflammation of the thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot. It’s often caused by tight calves, weak foot muscles, and poor alignment over time. The good news? With regular, mindful movement, it’s highly preventable.
That’s why I’ve created a simple, effective series of foot and ankle exercises to help you build strength, mobility, and awareness from the ground up. These practices help wake up the small muscles that often get neglected, improve circulation, restore natural function—and help prevent things like plantar fasciitis and week ankle support before it starts.
Whether you’re a runner, yogi, walker, or someone who just wants to stand comfortably and feel more grounded and supported, these exercises are for you.
Let’s take care of our feet—because when our foundation is strong, everything above it thrives.
Join me for these short healthy feet and ankle exercises’ —I promise, your whole body will thank you.
